Artist’s Statement:

Like the land in which live, layers are the foundations to stability, our values and beliefs some layers fracture others merge together, not unlike delicate copper leaf. With climate change upon us it is a reminder to tread softly on this ancient landscape we all call home. To be a steward not a conqueror, to be guided by the generations from which we prosper, whilst acknowledging and respecting the dark echoes from our past. Shadows, mood and light guide and inspire my artwork, our interpretations of these can influence us, confront us, but also endear us to have a voice, a voice out of the shadows.
