Perth Royal Art Prize for Landscape
The Royal Agricultural Society of WA (RASWA) is excited to announce changes to the 2023 Perth Royal Art Prize.
As you might be aware, last year’s Perth Royal Art Prize was the first held outside of the Perth Royal Show. RASWA decided to trial hosting this event prior to the Show, to make it a stand-alone event, enabling greater focus on the Prize and making it more accessible to the broader community.
After gaining positive feedback from both the artists and those who attended the exhibition, we have decided to move forward with this model.
In order to ensure the best possible event, we have changed the event timing to be held in the first part of 2024.

The Perth Royal Art Prize is a highly regarded competition, launching the careers of many high-profile local artists. The Perth Royal Art Prize is the only Western Australian art prize with a focus on landscape, offering a prize pool of $26,500 including $20,000 for first prize.
Accompanying the main prize are the Aboriginal Art Award and Emerging Art Award, as well as two Highly Commended Awards.
