Artist’s Statement:

The Unknown is a digital painting that explores hyper-realistic video game landscapes, and their immersive and uncanny qualities through an interplay of colour, line, and lighting, to mirror the sensory capabilities of modern technological like virtual reality and augmented reality. The artwork aims to reveal the often overlooked, obscured, or forbidden domains, highlighting the intricacies and unsettling qualities in contemporary, hyper-real gaming spaces. Through my artwork, I seek to provoke introspection into the boundaries between reality and simulation, challenging perceptions of what is permissible or expected within the confines of virtual space.
