Bags of Fun at the Perth Royal Show

Perth Royal Show is back in town and those familiar with the beloved local event will know it’s not a Show without showbags, and this year there are plenty to choose from.

With over 350 different showbags for visitors to peruse, and over 65 brand new additions for 2024, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. Shoppers will find new names and nostalgic golden oldies, including the much-anticipated return of Bertie Beetle, who is celebrating his 60^th birthday at the show this year after a hiatus in 2023 due to supplier shortages.

To celebrate, patrons will find a dedicated Bertie Beetle store at this year’s Show in Showbag Hall (located in between Viveash & Waylen Ave), stocking a limited edition 60^th birthday bag. With eight Bertie Beetle bags in total to choose from and starting from $5, Bertie is expected to fly off the shelves in 2024.

The iconic Yellow Brick Road also returns to Show this year for the first time since 2017. Ticket holders to the action-packed, interactive trail will be able to get their hands on a special limited edition showbag for $15 to fill with treats, collectable items and a lunch made with WA produce as part of the agricultural treasure hunt.

Also celebrating this year are family favourites from local business, Morish Nuts, who are marking their 30^th year at the Perth Royal Show after their debut back in 1994. Visitors to the show can go nuts with a range of Morish special variety showbags from $28.

Polly Waffle is making a return to the Show for the first time in 15 years. Guests can bag this delicious Aussie favourite for $16 at the brand new Grand Showbag Hall.

Exciting new additions for 2024 to this year’s showbag lineup include Yowie, Brain Licker, Extrem-O Mega Sour and the Matilda’s and Socceroos!

Prices for showbags will range from $5 up to $165, and with over 130 showbags under $25 dollars, there’s something to suit all budgets – whether it’s a treat for the kids or a gift for a special someone.

But it’s not just your sweet tooth that will be satisfied at this year’s edition of the Show. With showbags catered to sports fanatics, movie buffs, fashion and skincare gurus, you might just be spoilt for choice.

Children and their families at Ronald McDonald House will be the first to get their hands on the showbags at an official Lotterywest launch event on 11 September.
