Showjumping Competition Information
The Royal Perth Show Horses Showjumping program conducted by The Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia (RASWA) celebrates the best of the best in Western Australia with over 2,000 entries, 500 horses and 350 riders competing across 250 classes each year.
Modern Showjumping was established as a competition in England in 1907 and rose to international prominence when it was incorporated into the Olympic Games in 1922. The prestigious Showjumping competition at the Perth Royal Show is one of WA’s leading equestrian competitions.
The Horses in Action competition comprises horses and ponies which are divided into Show Horse, Show Hunter and Rider competitions. Horses are judged on conformation, presentation, manners and paces within their field. Show horses should have a fine bone conformation and show hunters should be a pleasant ride. A win at the Perth Royal Show opens the door for a Show Horse or Show Hunter to compete at a National Championship.
We regret that the Carriage Driving competition will not be running in 2021.
