Each year, around one thousand sheep take up residence in the Sheep Shearing and Wool Pavilion, ready to be judged on their meat, wool, or breeding.

 

With all 10 heritage breeds on display, including Merino, Corriedale, Dorper, White Dorper, and a variety of British breeds such as Border Leicester, South Suffolk, Suffolk, Shropshire, Wiltshire Horn, Wiltipoll, Poll Dorset, Prime SAMM, Texel, and White Suffolk, it’s the perfect chance for every breeder to show off their best.

 

For years, farmers have brought their prize sheep to the Perth Royal Show, where a Royal Show ribbon often means a higher price at auction.
