UPDATE – Monday 5th July 2021

The team at the Royal Agricultural Society of WA are disappointed to announce that although the Perth Royal Show will be moving ahead in 2021, due to time constraints required we will not be running the Cat Competitions this year. This decision was not made lightly as we value all our competitions and competitors, however with the uncertainty of COVID-19 and lockdowns in 2020/2021 we have been required to amend the competitions available.

In lieu of the Cat Competition we will be holding a Pedigree Cat breed display in the Silver Jubilee Pavilion.

Please view the EOI to be a part of the exhibit and promote your pedigree cat breed. There will be a maximum of 20 cats per day, on a first come basis. Please view and complete the EOI form and send through to Natalie Arcus- natalie.arcus@raswa.org.au to apply.

We are hopeful for a strong Perth Royal Show in 2021 and dependent upon COVID-19 future restrictions, look forward to offering the Cats Competition again in 2022.

The Competition is conducted in two parts:

Part One: The Farm Skills Competition is where teams enter from college/school and points are awarded for placings in each of the twelve events.

The Farm Skills Competition consists of events such as chemical safety first aid and sheep shearing and wool handling.
Part Two: The Show Section Competition is where individuals enter Sections of the Perth Royal Show and points for places are allocated to their college/school.
